Bologna FC 1909 Goes All Black for Champions League Kit

The UEFA Champions League has officially kicked off with a fresh batch of on-pitch games, currently on its second matchday alongside dozens of European teams. Today, Bologna FC 1909 hits the pitch against Liverpool, playing in their new all-black kit to honor the tournament.

Designed by high-performance sportswear brand Macron, the Italian team will bring the kit to life with every goal through technical elegance. The blacked-out kit is kept sleek and refined, featuring gold, red, and blue collar and sleeve accents. The design celebrates the return of “Champions League Nights” in Bologna, where friends and family come together to motivate their local team.

The campaign video, shot inside the Macron HQ, welcomes team players Ndoye, Beukema, Fabbian and Lykogiannis to show off the new uniforms. The 48-second clip sees them go undercover acknowledging an all-black dress code, presented against shimmering lights and club-ready beats. Traditional sponsorship logos boldly reside at the chest, placed atop tonal star emblems paying tribute to the Champions League logo. Finally, the club acknowledges its triumphant past with Italian neckline text, while “Designed in Bologna” lettering completes the kit, proclaiming itself this year’s champion.
