The Trailer for A24's 'Babygirl' Is Here
Our first look into the long-awaited film starring Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson.
After premiering at the Venice Film Festival back in August – with leading lady Nicole Kidman winning the Best Actress award for her performance – A24‘s Babygirl has been one of the season’s most anticipated films. Ahead of its December 25 release date, the first official trailer for the film has surfaced, which finds Kidman navigating the nuances of a workplace affair.
As the longline indicates, Babygirl follows the story of “A high-powered CEO [who] puts her career and family on the line when she begins a torrid affair with her much younger intern.”
“Being a CEO means being a collaborator – and nurturer,” Kidman’s character Romy opens the trailer. “Everyone is waiting for me to buckle under the pressure.”
Kidman’s new interns are introduced and Dickinson’s character Samuel immediately sparks Kidman’s intrigue, with their romance beginning just after their introductory meeting.
“If we’re gonna do this, we’re gonna need to set some rules you and I both agree on – starting with, I tell you what to do and you do it,” Dickinson tells Kidman, afraid she may hurt the young intern.
“Hurt me? I think I have power over you, ’cause I could make one call and you could lose everything.”
The film marks director Halina Reijn’s follow-up to 2022’s Bodies Bodies Bodies and also stars Antonio Banderas and Sophie Wilde.
Babygirl hits theaters this Christmas, but until then, find the trailer above and stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates surrounding the film.
