BANKS Brings on Doechii for "I Hate Your Ex-Girlfriend"

BANKS and Doechii may just be the duo we didn’t know we needed. Indicating BANKS’ first new studio release since 2022, “I Hate Your Ex-Girlfriend” sees the songstress and the Swamp Princess prove their power as an unexpected pair on the anthemic two-and-a-half-minute track.

“I hate your ex-girlfriend / I don’t think that she’s appropriate / Someone help her little basic face / And tell her that she’s holdin’ onto nothin’,” BANKS seductively serenades on the chorus.
Doechii hops in on the second verse, lacing the cut with her witty wordplay as she spits: “Put a toe tag on her like a French tip / Wrap a bow around your coffin like it’s Christmas / You a sick h*e, you should make a death wish / Scarlet letter, then I seal it with a French kiss, mwah.”
“I Hate Your Ex-Girlfriend” also comes accompanied by a Charlie Denis-directed visual and lands shortly after Doechii earned her Kendrick Lamar co-sign. The single marks BANKS’ first solo release since her fourth studio album Serpentina in April of 2022.
