Japan's A.PRESSE Expands to the US with FW24 Collection
The Japanese label’s first US-based stockist UNION Los Angeles will carry its latest range of consciously crafted menswear.
Japanese apparel brand A.PRESSE is inaugurating its official expansion to the US with the launch of its FW24 line, offering a range of essential vintage silhouettes through a modern understated lens. The label will inaugurate its arrival with a launch reception on October 26 at UNION Los Angeles, its very first US-based stockist.
The FW24 campaign shot in New York City evokes an effortless mode of dressing, with echoes of classic American menswear from purveyors like J.Crew and Brooks Brothers. However, the brand led by Kazuma Shigematsu forges its own unique heritage rooted in close attention to quality and Japanese design sensibilities.
Across the lookbook, wide-legged wool trousers with deep pleats lay the foundations for thoughtfully layered styling, while elsewhere, medium-wash denim and corduroy pants provide more casual options. Crewneck pullovers and woven shirting are tucked into high-waisted bottoms to form the base layers for stand-out outerwear, including a brown sherpa-lined suede coat, a vintage wash trucker jacket and an elevated take on the liner jacket with leather trims.
It’s no secret that Japanese design has served as a beacon for the preservation of vintage fashions. Through the decades, the country’s leading designers have delivered refined takes on bygone styles of the late 20th century, infused with their unique style. Shigematsu’s A.PRESSE continues this legacy while working under a forward-thinking philosophy prioritizing long-term durability.
A.PRESSE’s FW24 collection will be available at UNION Los Angeles from October 26.
