De Bethune Unveils the db28xp Steel Wheels Tourbillon in Hong Kong

As The 1916 Company’s Icons of Time traveling exhibition arrives at its last stop in Hong Kong, De Bethune has unveiled its newest horological offering: the DB28XP Steel Wheels Tourbillon.
Limited to just 10 examples, this striking time-teller not only is the newest addition to the independent watchmaker’s iconic DB28XP collection — it’s also a testament to the Maison’s unwavering pursuit of craftsmanship and precision.
Housed in a 43mm case crafted from polished grade 5 titanium, the timepiece not only weighs lightweight on hand – a mere 0.18 grams – but also measures surprisingly thin, coming at 9.1mm in thickness. The case middle proudly showcases a titanium hour ring, embellished with a blued microlight decoration.
Beating as its core, the DB2009v6 caliber is ensured by a self-regulating twin barrel, providing reference with a remarkable 5-day power reserve. With an astounding frequency of 36,000 vph, Tim Mosso from The 1916 Company likens the movement to Zenith’s El Primero.
