Having been friends since 2019, YUNGBLUD and Lil Yachty finally bring their distinct sounds together for the latest track, “When We Die (Can We Still Get High?)”. This 5-minute single delves into the exploration of life after death and questions whether euphoria can still be discovered once one has departed.

When reflecting on the collaboration, YUNGBLUD mentions, “I wanted this moment to be a collision of each other’s imagination and sound. I’m really excited about it and for what it could potentially inspire between the future of alternative and hip-hop.”

The single arrives alongside an official music video directed by Logan Fields and Yussef Haridy and filmed in Atlanta, Georgia. The video explores the question and answer at once as the visual journey starts with a somber atmosphere, featuring an unhappy YUNGBLUD facing his demise followed by a transformation in the mood and color grading from a dark and gloomy city to an almost whimsical field with friends and an ethereal underwater ending.

Watch the music video for YUNGBLUD’s “When We Die (Can We Still Get High?)” featuring Lil Yachty and stream the track everywhere now.
