Nike Unveils Hornets-Colored Air Jordan 1 Mid
Set to be released exclusively in kids sizing.
Nike‘s Jordan Brand has unveiled a special release Jordan 1 Mid paying homage to the shoe’s namesake, reading “Inspired By The Greatest” on the tongue of the pair.
Set to release exclusively in kids’ sizing, the unofficially dubbed “Hornets-Colored” Air Jordan 1 Mid features a variety of quirky design elements and could potentially make for a fun collectible item for fans who are unable to fit the pair. These design choices include bright blue teals, presumably a nod to the once Jordan-owned Charlotte Hornets.
Additional quirks and features include a set of patches that can be placed on the shoe’s royal blue velcro Nike Swoosh logo, namely a basketball, Air Jordan Wings logo and two Jordan jerseys. The pair also comes with a special box, with “Sneaker School” and the Jumpman logo featured at the top.
At the time of writing, retail pricing for the pair has yet to be announced, however, a release date is expected on February 9, with more details likely to come via official Nike channels.
