Anicorn’s Latest Timepiece Pays Homage to Kojima Productions’ ‘Death Stranding’
Bridging the worlds of gaming and time-telling once again.
After partnering with SEGA to bring new life to the legendary Mega Drive/Genesis console, Anicorn has now revealed its latest collaborative project with Hideo Kojima, another iconic name in the gaming world. The collaboration spotlights the Reverse Trike Time limited edition watch inspired by Death Stranding, Kojima Productions’ first-release game after becoming independent from Konami.
Touted by its makers as a “wrist-worn relic of the game’s unique narrative,” the Reverse Trike Time comes in a durable, cerakote-coated build and a dial that proudly exhibits the Bridges and SDT logo. Gracing the caseback is another Bridges logo, but this time, it’s printed using UV so that it only becomes visible when it’s “charged up” by the Ultraviolet Generator. The watch is accompanied by two strap options: a striped FKM strap, and a nylon version that’s emblazoned with the Bridges logo. Retailing for $940 USD, the Reverse Trike Time Limited Edition comes with both straps and the Ultraviolet Generator in co-branded packing.
Additionally, a 200-piece Rare Edition is also offered. Priced at $2,340 USD, this edition features all the aforementioned products packaged inside a collectible-worthy Bridges Cargo Case. Crafted from aluminum alloy using CNC 3D 4-axis metal cutting technology, the case is a real-life replica of the suitcase carried by the game’s protagonist, Sam Porter Bridges.
For collectors who prefer to display their prized timepieces, the Time Winder is designed to perfectly showcase the Reverse Trike Time in a winding motion. The accessory was created by Yoji Shinkawa, who’s best known for his work as the lead character and mecha designer for Kojima’s iconic Metal Gear series. The Time Winder is included in the Rare Edition and is also individually available for $680 USD.
The collaboration will be exclusively available via Anicorn’s official website starting January 16, 9 a.m. EST.
