Jamie xx Invites You Back to the Club With Anthem "It's So Good"
The producer’s first new solo music since 2022.
Jamie xx has returned with a new track entitled “It’s So Good.” The release marks The xx producer’s first solo release since 2022.
Over the past year, Jamie has put out a few collaborations, including one with Skrillex and another on his bandmate Romy’s debut album Mid Air. In 2022, he put out just two singles, “Let’s Do It Again” and “Kill Dem,” as well as collaborating with The xx’s Oliver Sim on his Hideous Bastard album.
Aside from those appearances, he’s been largely quiet. The silence wasn’t entirely surprising to fans of The xx, as Jamie has been known to work behind the scenes. Following the release of his debut LP In Colour, the producer didn’t put out any new music for five years.
Released via Young, “It’s So Good” is an anthemic dance track that intersperses a club beat with an odd sample that sounds like machinery moving. Jamie created the song to soundtrack a campaign for Chanel Coco Crush, the fashion house’s jewelry line.
