A Kind of Guise is looking back to its upcycling roots in its latest capsule. Aptly named “The Patchwork Project,” A Kind of Guise pays tribute to its 2009 founding – marked by upcycling leather from old medicine balls into bags – to present a range of one-of-a-kind cardigans.

Crafted from collected leftover knit test square samples used from past releases, A Kind of Guise presents a lineup of 15 vibrant unisex cardigans. “Over the past years, we’ve diligently collected these knit samples,” AKOG wrote. “Now, we’re breathing new life into them.”

Each cardigan is unique in colorway and composition, with each piece built from a distinct mixture of wool, cashmere and cotton fabric. Take a closer look at the cardigans – paired alongside their respective knit samples – in the gallery below.

“Every cardigan, one different from the other, encapsulates the evolution of our brand,” A Kind of Guise shared in a statement on its site. “The diverse color palettes, knitting methods, and textures from the collected knit patches, not only resemble AKOG’s journey from a design perspective – since our founding, each year has been different from the other, resembling various stages of change and growth.”

A Kind of Guise’s “The Patchwork Project” lands for purchase this Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 2 p.m. EST at the A Kind of Guise webstore.
