Diesel Drops Illustrative Year of the Dragon Capsule
Featuring hooded trench coats, track hoodies, laser-printed denim and more.
Diesel is ringing in the Lunar New Year with a capsule collection inspired by the Year of the Dragon. The unisex range, thought up by creative director Glenn Martens, pays homage to the Spring Festival with tones of dark brown and deep red — traditional Lunar New Year colors that represent “good fortune, happiness and wealth.”
Among the range, the hybrid trench coat, made from stonewashed denim that possesses an aged finish, enlists laser treatments to achieve a brown “dirt-effect” color print. The zip-up hoodie, meanwhile, employs track denim with similar stone-washing and laser treatments, nodding to the classic ’90s silhouette; and the Straight D-Martians Track Denim 068nu trousers offer the perfect, matching addition to the aforementioned tops.
Down the line, the soft cotton jersey hoodie houses a herringbone-tape collar and an all-over dragon print, akin to a tattoo. The long-sleeve, stretch-mesh top features an identical graphic facade, with a super-slim fit. Notably, each piece is finished with a dedicated tag that reads: “Special Edition Lunar New Year: Year of the Dragon 2024.”
