BLACK COMME des GARÇONS Takes on HOKA's TC 1.0
Adding golden rings to the silhouette that first debuted last year.

The ever-expanding universe of Rei Kawakubo’s COMME des GARÇONS is spread throughout various lines, with each offering a distinct aesthetic while maintaining a connection to the brand’s core. For BLACK COMME des GARÇONS, it was introduced in 2009 as a response to the Great Recession — offering the beauty of COMME des GARÇONS at a more accessible price point. Traditionally sticking to a monochromatic palette of black, gray and white, it is now following up on projects with Nike and ASICS by joining HOKA on its TC 1.0.
As HOKA continue to make waves in footwear, its TC 1.0, which first released last year, has emerged as a key offering for the brand moving forward thanks to a preview of this collaborative colorway with BLACK COMME des GARÇONS. Arriving in all-black, the colorway seems to match the already-released “Black/Black” look, with two golden rings attached to the upper and BLACK COMME des GARÇONS branding hidden underneath the tongue.
At the time of writing, neither the team behind BLACK COMME des GARÇONS nor HOKA have shared their release plans for this collaborative take on the TC 1.0. Stay tuned for updates as it’s likely to arrive on shelves at some point this fall via Dover Street Market.
