Vacheron Constantin Unveils Two New Traditionnelle Time-Tellers
Featuring a 39mm model, and a 33mm diamond-set version.
Ahead of Watches & Wonders Shanghai, Vacheron Constantin has revealed two new Traditionnelle manual-winding references in a majestic green colorway.
Offered in a 33mm diamond set model, and a 39mm version featuring a small-second sub counter, both references star the same radiant sunburst dial that’s dressed in an elegant sage green hue. Echoing the polished pink gold cases are matching stick indices and dauphine handsets with the same finishing. For a harmonious yet slightly contrasting touch, the watches are paired with dark green alligator straps that are both modern and classy.
Behind the elegant color choice, Christian Selmoni, the Maison’s director of style and heritage explains that “The first watches in the Vacheron Constantin collection to feature monochrome dials date back to the early 19th century.” He adds that “The monochrome green sunburst dial of the Traditionnelle model continues this tradition while adopting a more contemporary approach recalling the advent of ultra-thin watches in the early 20th century.”
Through each watch’s open caseback are manual-winding movements that quietly power the pieces with their necessary functionalities. The 39mm variant runs on the in-house 4400 AS caliber with 65 hours of power reserve, while the diamond-set 33mm operates on the 1440 caliber that offers 42 hours of running time.
