Added to the Teddy Santis-helmed New Balance Made in USA line just a few months ago, the 998 is receiving some increased attention, this time draped in layers of black and white, with cream accents that add a vintage feel to the silhouette.

At first glance, Nike‘s ultra-popular “Panda” colorway comes to mind and based on its hype, this pair is sure to be a hit as well. However, thanks to the cream details, the shoe offers a more refined and subdued look. Other details include very minimal touches of black suede at the heel, toe box and “N” logo — as well as matching black threads at the embroidered heel logo.

Crisp white laces blend nicely into the white leather mid-panel, which is complemented further by a layer of white leather at the heel. Other design elements include a tonal grey liner, cream insoles with traditional branding and of course the “Made in USA” embroidered designation at the tongue. All of this is sat atop a cream Absorb midsole with a black outsole.

The pair is expected to drop on September 21 via New Balance’s official site for a retail price of $190 USD.
