Fans have been waiting for Kaytranada to feature Childish Gambino on one of his tracks for over a year now. During a live set last year, the Canadian DJ and producer played a live set that included a few Gambino verses. That song never ended up making it to streaming platforms but was shared by fans on social media.

The next new music fans got from Kaytranada was his joint album with Aminé, Kaytraminé, in May. Gambino, on the other hand, hasn’t put out his own music since 2020’s 3.15.20, save for the soundtrack EP to his Amazon original series, Swarm.

As Kaytranada gears up to work on his next album, he’s confirmed that Gambino will be present.

“Is that joint with Gambino ever gonna see the light of day?,” a fan asked on X, to which Kaytranada confirmed, “on my next album yes.”

The DJ hasn’t revealed any other details about the forthcoming project, including its title or a timeline for the rollout. Fans will have to hold tight for more information on the release.

In other music news, Björk shared an illustrated visual for the Fossora track “victimhood.”
