In celebrating 125 years of Saucony, the brand is bringing back the Grid Shadow 2, one of its most iconic silhouettes from the ’90s.

The reissue sees the archive classic in its original cobalt blue and white colorway, now updated with improved materiality and technology. Exuding a luxe and retro mood, the runner model is accentuated with nubuck and leather trims in contrasting hues. On top of that, it’s outfitted with white mesh underlays that ensure comfort and breathability.

Originally introduced as a high-performance runner model, one of the main highlights of the Grid Shadow 2 is its integrated G.R.I.D (Ground-Reaction-Inertia-Device) technology. Saucony notes that the technology was first released in 1991 as a trailblazing feature that optimized training and running for athletes. As a result, the soles are designed to be lightweight, and shock-absorbent while also equipped with maximum support and comfort.

Launching this Friday, August 18, the Grid Shadow 2 will retail for $155 USD at select Saucony stores as well as its official online shop.
