Grocery Store ALDI Breaks Into Footwear Space With $13 USD Sneaker
Could you style these?
Building on its focus on ready-to-wear, German multinational supermarket chain ALDI is now gearing up to introduce its $13 USD Crane sneaker. Founded by brothers Karl and Theo Albrecht in 1946, when they took over their mother’s store in Essen, ALDI operates over 10,000 stores in 20 countries and is known for its low prices on award-winning products.
Already well known in the food space, ALDI is looking to expand its presence with ready-to-wear and the latest addition to its footwear lineup. The affordable Crane sneaker is a unisex style that features a round-toe silhouette reminiscent of classic tennis sneakers. Set to release in a variety of colorways, the shoes are marked by a clean white base accented by black and pastel tone piping. Devoid of any major branding, the Crane sneaker is designed with versatile style and comfort in mind as traditional lacing and memory foam insoles round up the design of the shoe.
Priced at just $13 USD, the Crane sneaker will be available in a selection of colorways from ALDI in Women’s size 6-9 and Men’s 9-11 come August 23.
