nanamica Rejoins PUMA for Season 2 Collaboration
Featuring a GORE-TEX version of the Clyde sneaker and various apparel options.
Just under a year ago, Japanese label nanamica announced a new partnership — teaming up with German sportswear brand PUMA for the first time. The duo approached the Suede VTG with two monochromatic finishes that brought GORE-TEX to the kicks — an approach nanamica has used in other projects such as its New Era GORE-TEX 59FIFTY Fitted Cap. Now, it’s brought forth the duo’s Season 2 collaboration, highlighted by the inclusion of the Clyde and a range of apparel as well.
Looking closer at the garments, the hero piece is the woven coat, with its design rooted in flight suits. Its relaxed fit is packed with utility, including a 2-way zip setup and a classic taffeta made from Cordura nylon. From there, two different half-zip hoodie designs take on navy and a striped medium grey, similarly offering a relaxed fit with a sturdy heavyweight fleece fabric used to construct it. From there, two pant colorways combine military and climbing pant cuts to provide a roomy fit around the waist and thigh while tapering off from the knee to the hem. Two different striped tee colors round out the clothing with co-branding on display at its backside. In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the Clyde rounds out this capsule in black and white colorways that utilize GORE-TEX fabric to brave inclement weather.
Release for nanamica x PUMA Season 2 begins on August 18 via select nanamica storefronts and its online store. Apparel prices range from $75 USD for the tees to $400 USD for the woven coat. As for the kicks, both Clyde colorways are priced at $150 USD each.
