According to reports, James Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, is now suing the food company he partnered with to start MrBeast Burger. The lawsuit comes after complaints from the YouTuber’s fans of receiving poor-quality food. MrBeast alleges that Virtual Dining Concepts, the virtual kitchen company behind MrBeast Burger, sacrificed quality to expand the size of the business as quickly as possible.

Back in 2020, MrBeast and Virtual Dining Concepts came together to establish a line of “ghost kitchens” for the MrBeast Burger concept. The business has since gone worldwide and is frequently enjoyed by both fans of MrBeast and those that have come across the restaurant on food delivery platforms like Uber Eats and Door Dash.

MrBeast is suing his partner for not addressing food quality issues, despite being alerted of fan reactions over recent months. The lawsuit outlines both fan comments and negative reviews that call the food served by MrBeast Burger “disgusting,” “revolting,” and “inedible.” Adding that Virtual Dining Concepts has been more focused on rapidly expanding the brand and using MrBeast Burger to land more partnerships with celebrities. Along with the use of MrBeast’s likeness and registered trademarks on social media without permission and outside the scope of the original contract for the partnership.

MrBeast and his legal team are now asking for the court to fully terminate the business deal that launched in 2020. In response to the lawsuit, Virtual Dining Concepts has called the filing filled with “false statements and inaccuracies.” Alleging that MrBeast recently attempted to negotiate a new deal and when an agreement to “serve his own monetary interests” was not met he turned to “ill-advised and meritless” “bullying tactics.”

Stating, “VDC will continue to help the restaurant industry as we work to promptly resolve this unfortunate dispute. We had hoped [Mr. Beast] would act honorably. Instead, having elevated greed over his word and the truth, he will face the consequences in court when VDC files its claims against him,” in conclusion.

In case you missed it, the Mark Zuckerberg vs. Elon Musk fight doesn’t appear to be happening.
