TOO HOT has been serving up vintage heat in London for over a decade, stocking a wide range of pieces from Stone Island, C.P. Company, Armani, and Moncler that are now considered bonafide retro relics from Italian sportswear and designer fans.

Having collaborated with FARAH®︎ and BEAMS Japan on a Paninaro-themed collection featuring striped decor and archival paisley prints, TOO HOT continues to set the levels when it comes to throwback clothing with a story to tell.

Hypebeast: Explain your brand to people who may not know you yet.

TOO HOT: At TOO HOT, we specialise in sourcing ’80s and ’90s vintage pieces that have been adopted by UK & Italian subcultures such as Paninaro & acid house.

What’s the journey been like from starting your brand, to where you are today?

I started the brand ten years ago from a flat in Dalston, buying and selling old C.P. Company & Stone Island jackets as a little side project, now we work direct with a range of brands sourcing vintage reference pieces and working on creative projects, including C.P. Company themselves you put me on the cover of their 50th-anniversary book.

Flea is going to be hosted for the first time in the UK. How does the UK’s creative community inspire you and your brand?

From the start of TOO HOT, we’ve always worked with UK-based creatives to shoot editorials and videos for our collections, many of these have gone on to great things, and our work has attracted the attention of brands and retailers to work direct with them to lend our stylistic eye to their content.

What have you got planned at Hypebeast Flea?

We’ve been recently working with a warehouse in Europe that has been hoarding a huge collection of deadstock designer pieces from the 80’s & 90’s from brands such as C.P. Company, Boneville, Moschino & Avirex. We’ve also recently collated a collection archive of Louis Vuitton menswear samples from Kim Jones’ 2012-2018 era. These unique pieces will sit alongside our collection of Italian designer vintage.

What other vendors are you looking forward to checking out at Hypebeast Flea?

I’m looking forward to checking out Old Old Woods & Me Old China the most, I really like what both of them are doing and have been looking a lot at furniture and homeware for the office recently, so be great to see what they have in the flesh. Overall I think that vendor list looks incredibly well-curated, and everyone on there seems to have a really strong vision, so I’m looking forward to being involved!
