This Rare Air Jordan 6 "UNC" PE Nods to the Basketball Program's Six National Championships
The “82” is outlined in yellow to call out Michael Jordan’s championship year at the Chapel Hill-based college.
Given that it’s his alma mater, Michael Jordan will always give the University of North Carolina top priority when it comes to receiving exclusive gear. The Chapel Hill-based university’s hoops program is known to gift its players and coaches a myriad of player exclusives to rock on and off the hardwood, and one rare pair has just surfaced: an Air Jordan 6 ‘UNC” PE that nods to the school’s six national titles.
Deviating from its traditional construction, the kicks are styled wit buttery suede upper panels that are dyed in a blue hue to match up with its neoprene tongue panels and laces. Around the heels of each shoe, you’ll find a set of numbers that calls out all of the years that the Tar Heels were victorious in the NCAA national championship. The “82” on the left shoe’s heel is outlined in yellow to reference the year that Michael Jordan led his team to a ‘chip. Tar Heel-friendly blue accents are dispersed to the aforementioned numbers, rear midsole molds and icy tongues and bottoms.
Parties interested in picking up the pair can find it available now in-store via UNTIED LA.
In other news, official images of the Air Jordan 4 “Frozen Moments” have surfaced.
