French Montana and Swae Lee Release Music Video for “Wish U Well”
Their first track in 6 years.
French Montana and Swae Lee have reunited for a new track and accompanying music video called “Wish U Well.”
Although coming at the end of summer, the energizing anthem capitalizes on those fun moments, which are sure to carry over into the fall. But what’s also important to note about the new track is it being French Montana and Swae Lee’s first collaborative track in six years – following their hit song “Unforgettable” which amassed 1.5 billion views on YouTube and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
Whereas “Unforgettable” was hot in Uganda, the duo traveled back to Africa to shoot the music video for “Wish U Well” in Makako, which lies on the coast of mainland Lagos, Nigeria. The music video showcases an authentic, yet beautiful look at Makoko, while the track lays down a smooth, yet versatile fun production.
“Come tell me everything/If it bothers you then it bothers me/Restore my trust, replace my faith/Don’t bring my past up ’cause I was betrayed/I need your love, less dialogue/Don’t feel this much, I’m numb enough/’Til the right one comes, yeah, yeah/I watch her pum-pum-pum, yeah, yeah,” sings Swae Lee in the first verse with a rich falsetto.
