Brain Dead Announces Its HOKA ONE ONE Hopara Collaboration
The technical kicks are decorated with iridescent uppers and Brain Dead branding debossed into the heels.
Brain Dead‘s collaborative footwear catalog is home to projects alongside a myriad of sportswear brands including ASICS, Reebok and Oakley, and now the LA-based streetwear label had been tapped by HOKA ONE ONE for a new team-up. The Kyle Ng-led imprint has elected to rework the HOKA ONE ONE Hopara with striking details, and the first images of the pair have emerged on our radar.
Base layers of this outdoor-centric silhouette are structured with a ventilated build and are predominantly dripped out with iridescent exteriors atop the side cages. Mesh tongues are fitted with a deep purple filling and come accessorized with all-over Brain Dead branding down the throat banner. An extra shoutout to the streetwear company comes in a debossed robotic font along the heels. Beneath all of that, the midsoles are presented with a two-toned motif and feature gradient green accents and fin-shaped molds that are dyed in all-black. Rounding off its look is a trail-ready outsole that’s done up with black and kelp-esque panels.
Those interested in picking up a pair can anticipate Brain Dead to release these on August 22.
