Wrist Check: Roger Federer Sports New Rolex Sky-Dweller While Honored at Wimbledon
The watch goes for $16,900 USD.

With Wimbledon on its way, there was a moment on Center Court that caught the attention of watch fanatics everywhere. To kick off the games, Roger Federer, one of the greatest to ever play the game, was celebrated and honored this year.
The former World No. 1 professional tennis player received a lengthy standing ovation as he made his return to Wimbledon as a guest of the Royal Box. On the second day of the tournament, he was sported wearing a newly released Rolex Sky-Dweller. The exact model was revealed during this March’s Watches & Wonders. The retired Swiss player has been a Rolex ambassador since 2006, so it comes as no surprise that his collection is extensive.
The model was first released by the Swiss watchmaker in 2012 but over the years, has been refined, leading to a new version that released earlier this year. The latest reveal saw the Sky-Dweller (Ref. 336934) which is easily distinguished by its 42mm case in Oystersteel and white gold. The watch sports a bright blue dial and the classic Oyster bracelet. For the jet setter, which Federer definitely fits the mold of, the watch includes two time zones and an instantaneous annual calendar at 3 o’clock mark. Around the circumference of the dial, there is also a month indicator that sees 12 apertures. The watch has a self-winding caliber 9002 and has approximately 72 hours of power reserve.
