Porsche Premieres Vision 357 Speedster Concept Car

Porsche has debuted its new Vision 357 Speedster concept car, which extends its catalog of performance.

Also celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the new vehicle is the sister model to Porsche’s Vision 357. Leading the charge for the all-electric Vision 357 is its base on Porsche’s 718 GT4 e-Performance. Additionally, the car’s electric motors and battery tech are derived from the Mission R, while the chassis comes from the 718 GT4 Clubsport. The car’s exterior arrives in a two-tone paint job consisting of marble grey and grivelo grey metallic alongside an anniversary logo commemorative years. After the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the car will be on display at the Rennsport Reunion in the United States.

“The Porsche Vision 357 is a nod to the first Porsche model line, Ferry Porsche’s dream sports car. And since the 356 has cemented itself into the collective brand memory as both a convertible and a coupé, the same logic applies to the concept car: there can only be two,” said Michael Mauer, Porsche’s Vice President of Style. “The Porsche Vision 357 Speedster embodies the essence of the brand. Driving pleasure and driving dynamics combined with an extremely pure form. As with the Mission X that we presented just a few weeks ago, this model demonstrates that even with fresh design genes, the Porsche DNA shines through.”
