In one year’s time, the 2024 Paris Olympics will be officially unveiled. As the official timekeeper for the quadrennial sporting event, OMEGA has dedicated a Seamaster Diver “Paris 2024” Special Edition to kickstart the countdown.

The special time-teller arrives in a stainless steel build, measuring 42mm in diameter, and 13.7mm in thickness. One of the main highlights of the piece is its 18k Moonshine Gold bezel, which is highly resistant to fading while boasting an understated golden hue. In complementing the overall color scheme of the watch, the dial is produced in white ceramic and is incorporated with a polished wave pattern.

Meanwhile, the indices sport a classic OMEGA design, topped with luminous coating. A closer examination of the dial will reveal intriguing details like the Paris 2024 emblem on the central second’s hand. Another subtle detail that nods to the sporting event can be found on the date window, which now implements the same typography as the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Turning over to the caseback, the commemorative timepiece features the Paris 2024 medallion inlaid in 18k Moonshine Gold, which comes accompanied by stamped “Paris 2024” lettering and Olympic rings. As for technical specifications, the “Paris 2024” Edition possesses all the usual features of any modern Seamaster 300M. It runs on the METAS-certified Master Chronometer 8800 caliber, geared with 55 hours of power reserve, and beats at a rate of 25,200 vph.

Not a limited or a numbered release, the Seamaster Diver “Paris 2024” Special Edition is priced at $8,700 USD and is only available via OMEGA’s Paris boutiques. For more information, visit the watchmaker’s official website.
