Update: Kicking off May, a brief look at a black and “Field Purple” version of the Air Jordan 12 surfaced. Balancing the two hues across its leather upper, an official breakdown of the shoe reveals its key detailing, including the two golden eyelets on each side of the shoe. This shimmering hue also arrives at the heel, where it is placed at the branding tab alongside “Court Purple” notes. In addition to the showcase of the shoe, release information for the pair has been updated for an August 19 launch date at a price of $200 USD. Original Story: Across recent years, Jordan Brand has kept its usage of the Air Jordan 12 both minimal and consistent. Several general release colorways and the occasional collaboration take on the old-school silhouette in each annual range presented. For 2023, it started with a bang as A Ma Maniére ushered in two collaborative takes on the sneaker. Now, we’ve been offered a glance at a new “Field Purple” colorway.
Appearing in its typical leather construction, the sneaker balances its signature purple with black while sprinkling in hits of gold as well. The resulting color combination is “Lakers Away”-like in its appearance, however, its particular points of inspiration have not been declared. Black coats the uppermost portion while “Court Purple” covers the mudguard and sole unit. Gold lacing hooks are joined by hits of a golden yellow at the heel branding and outsole.
