Breitling Unveils an All-New US Limited Edition Super Chronomat

Yesterday, July 2, Breitling revealed its latest U.S. limited edition watch, the all-new Super Chronomat B01 44. The timepiece features an 18-karat red gold case, blue dial and black ceramic inserts on the bezel, chronograph pushers and crown.

Produced in an exclusive quantity of 140 pieces, the timepiece is available with a choice between two straps — an 18k red gold metal bracelet or a black Rouleaux-inspired rubber folding strap, retailing at $44,000 and $26,000 USD respectively.

Breitling describes the watch as a “supercharged, all-purpose sports watch,” that “masters the balance between sturdy and stylish.”

Being a limited edition, each timepiece will feature an engraving on the caseback, indicating it is “One of 140.” As for its technical makeup, the B01 44 is powered by the Breitling Calibre 01, a COSC-certified chronometer, providing 70 hours of power reserve and water resistance up to 200 meters.

Specifications of the watch come in at a diameter of 44 mm, a thickness of 14.4 mm and a product weight of approximately 231 grams. The self-winding mechanical watch also features 47 total jewels, including a “screwed-in” sapphire crystal caseback.

Inspired by the maker’s original 1980s Chronomat, created for the hotshots of aerobatic squadrons, the limited edition Super Chronomat B01 44 would make an exciting addition to any collection and is available now online and at select U.S. boutiques.
