Furlan Marri Presents a Secular Perpetual Calendar Reference for Only Watch
In collaboration with renowned watchers Dominique Renaud and Julien Tixier.
Furlan Marri, an emerging independent watch Maison has partnered up with acclaimed watchmakers Dominique Renaud and Julien Tixier to craft the brand’s first participating timepiece for Only Watch: the Secular Perpetual Calendar.
Founded in 2021 by industrial designer, Andrea Furlan, and Middle-eastern watch collector and artist, Hamad Al Marri. The duo combined their passions, and specialist knowledge, alongside a penchant for storytelling to form Furlan Marri. In spite of its short brand history, Furlan Marri already has an impressive list of accolades under its name, which includes a GPHG Horological Revelation Prize for its Mr.Grey 1041-A reference.
The ultra-simplified Secular Perpetual Calendar features a rhodium-plated silver 39mm case that frames a stunning anodic oxidation-treated blue titanium dial. Its hands arrive in a sand-blasted plate gilded with 18K yellow gold, handcrafted by Julien Tixier, complete with the Maltese cross on the central month hand.
Viewable from the see-through open caseback is the La-Joux-Perret G100 caliber and outfitted with an 18k yellow gold oscillating weight. Accompanying the timepiece is a silver Milanese mesh bracelet that’s plated in rhodium.
The Secular Perpetual Calendar will be auctioned off at the biennial Only Watch event on November 5, 2023. Estimated to sell for 20,000 – 30,000 CHF (approximately $22,353 – $33,528 USD), more information is available at the piece’s dedicated page on Only Watch’s website.
