Studio Ghibli Records Reissues Complete Remastered Movie Soundtrack Vinyl LP Collection
Also featuring symphonic suites and new artwork.
Studio Ghibli Records has announced a reissue of the complete vinyl LP collection of its movie soundtracks, this time featuring even more material.
According to reports, the reissue will feature remasters of the soundtracks of Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Laputa: Castle in the Sky, Grave of the Fireflies, My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Porco Rosso, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Ponyo on the Cliff, The Tale of Princess Kaguya and The Wind Rises, as well as the symphonic suites, concept albums and sound books. To top it off, each record will also arrive with new artwork.
The records, composed by Joe Hisashi and overseen by Hayao Miyazaki, is set to release on June 16, with Amazon pre-order listings currently selling for approximately $70 USD.
In related news, Studio Ghibli will not be releasing any promotional material for Hayao Miyazaki’s final film.
