New Balance is pushing a plethora of silhouettes within its lifestyle category right now, one of which is the Made in UK New Balance 991. We’ve seen the model pop up in collaborative form alongside Montreal design label JJJJound as well as in a variety of inline colorways, and now it has surfaced on our radar with a clean “Grape Juice” motif.
Its titular accents do most of the heavy lifting here as they drop off onto the sultry suede overlays that are positioned next to the throat, beneath the reflective N logos on the quarter panels, toe tip overlays and the mudguards. The tongues, toe boxes and collars are all crafted with a breathable white mesh and come topped off with muted gray overlays. Out back, the heels have been styled with a solid black overlay and feature “991” hits inside the windows as a nod to its silhouette. Down below, the midsoles are fashioned with their traditional white and light gray color-blocking and come loaded up with the Boston sportswear label’s signature ABZORB cushioning system.
Select retailers like Outback have these available now, but expect a stateside launch to go down in the coming months.
For other news, a summer-ready pack of New Balance 997s are gearing up to drop.
