JINS x Snow Peak Releases Second Wave of Outdoor Sunglasses for All Summer ‘23 Adventures
The Japanese eyewear brand and outdoor goods company introduced a four frame series built with Eastern craftsmanship and innovation.
JINS and Snow Peak have announced the second installment of their collaborative sunglasses collection. Arriving in the US on June 22, the new collection is long anticipated after JINS x Snow Peak made waves domestically with its December 2022 release. Originally created in Japan in 2021, the partnership arose to make sunglasses more accessible and enjoyable in the island nation’s outdoor scene.
The second release of JINS x Snow Peak caters to the outdoor enthusiast, fit for any under-the-sun activity with a versatile line-up. With four different series of frames available, wearers can choose sunglasses catered to their specific needs, making the lenses easily adaptable from rugged landscapes to urban environments. The titanium series, inspired by Snow Peak’s popular Titanium Mug, features temples crafted from titanium with a stainless steel front and polarized lenses. Also available in JINS’ signature Switch model, these frames are easily updated with different lens plates in several tints, perfect for adapting to different lighting conditions. Additionally, the Switch Flip Up series returns, transforming from glasses to sunglasses with a quick flip of the top layer.
Each pair of sunglasses from the second edition comes with an original case and lens cleaner. The case, which features the Snow Peak logo, protects the frames with a sleek build that’s easy to store. The frames from this launch are also accompanied by an attachable carrying cord, a functional accessory made from tent rope used in Snow Peak products. In celebration of the collaboration, JINS is setting up “JINS Campground Stores” at four Snow Peak campsites in Japan from July 15 to 17. The glasses will be available for purchase on-site from sunrise to sunset, an immersive shopping experience that provides the frames in their optimal environment.
The collection retails from $140 to $290 USD, and is available to purchase at JINS and at Snow Peak’s Brooklyn and Portland retail stores.
