Netflix Begins Henry Cavill’s Farewell With Official 'The Witcher' Season 3 Trailer

Netflix is gearing up for the bittersweet farewell of Henry Cavill with the release of the official trailer for The Witcher Season 3.

The new trailers hows that life is far from roses and rainbows for Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer. Geralt’s protective side comes out as he swears he “won’t abandon Ciri.” Geralt is seen fending off all kinds of dangerous adversaries as he appears to go after the princess of Cintra. From large monsters to eve the Wild Hunt making an appearance, Geralt talks about how the dangers seen gives him a glimpse of what “real fear” looks like.

The third season is said to be loosely based on the plot of the second novel of the Witcher book series, Time of Contempt. Geralt and yen come together to train Ciri to harness her magic while the rest of the world wants to exploit her powers. The White Flame and the Elves must pick a side between the kingdoms of Redania and Nilfgaard as Geralt faces unforeseen encounters.

The Witcher season 3 is split into two parts, with the first five episodes in part one premiering on June 29 and the second half on July 27 for the remaining three episodes.
