Before Michael Jordan signed with Nike and built the Jordan Brand empire that we’ve all come to know and love today, the NBA legend was rocking a variety of different brands such as Converse and adidas. For example, during the 1983 Pan-Am games when he played for Team USA and acquired his first gold medal, he was lacing up a pair of Converse All-Stars. Die-hard sports memorabilia collectors can rejoice because this very pair that he sported during two games of this tournament is now being sold via auction.

The kicks are a size 12.5 and come built out with smooth white leather base layers. Notes of navy are sprinkled to the tongue branding, heightened parts of the heel and the quarter panel’s One Star logos to align with Team USA‘s uniforms. In addition, a letter of provenance from the Team USA men’s graduate assistant coach, a photo match LOA from RGU and an apparent photo match LOA from Resolution Photo Matching are included with the sneakers.

Parties interested in scooping these up can find the pair up for auction via Grey Flannel with bidding starting at $10,000 USD. Check out a closer look at the pair in the gallery above.

For other news, first images of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low Golf have popped up.
