Denim Tears Unveils New "Cotton Wreath" Sweatsuit Capsule
Dropping at the label’s pop-up stores in New York City and Los Angeles this weekend.
As Denim Tears prepares to open two pop-up shops in New York City and Los Angeles this weekend, we’ve just received a first look at what will be housed inside them. On Instagram, the Tremaine Emory-led brand revealed an expansive “Cotton Wreath” sweatsuit collection, comprised of colorful, graphic-covered loungewear.
Inside the range, the brand centers its signature “Cotton Wreath” signifier, representing the strife of Black people within the cotton trade and in present-day America, as part of Emory’s larger mission of telling the stories of the African diaspora through clothes. Denim Tears previously released hoodies and sweatpants donning the graphic, in black and heather gray; however, this latest range builds on the brand’s seminal release with new navy and red colorways, as well as wreath-covered sweatshorts.
