Denim Tears has officially announced its Fall/Winter 2026 Collection, created in partnership with the André Leon Talley Estate. Marking the first authorized apparel collaboration from the estate, the 153-piece collection honors the late fashion icon’s legacy during the late 1990s and early 2000s, highlighting a era when he merged European couture with Black fashion culture.
The seasonal collection brings Talley’s wardrobe into focus by incorporating licensed NAACP marks across customized t-shirts alongside new iterations of Stüssy Tears, Billionaire Boys Club pieces, and a collaboration with LA-based artist Spacebrat. Outerwear features prominently throughout the collection, including PrimaLoft-filled down puffers and vests, workwear jackets, leather constructions, and reversible varsity jackets. Additionally, Denim Tears’ signature Cotton Wreath motif is reinterpreted in Paisley, Monogram, Peace Wreath, and Single Wreath embroidery across new seasonal palettes.
The accompanying lookbook highlights multi-hyphenate designers Andre Walker and Edward Buchanan alongside journalist Ashantéa Austin, capturing the blend of diaspora clothing, Black-owned brands, and traditional fashion championed by Talley throughout his career. Tremaine Emory, founder of Denim Tears said of this collaboration, “The Fall/Winter is an exploration of a specific part of André Leon Talley’s style that had social implications within and beyond fashion. André was the first in fashion to herald Black fashion designers such as Phat Farm, Billionaire Boys Club, Dapper Dan etc, showing up front row at shows and wearing their clothes at a time when no one else did in the fashion world. This collection will focus on the mix of diaspora clothing, Black designers and traditional fashion that he mixed together effortlessly. In the period from the 90’s till his death he always looked chic, luxurious, cool, comfortable, sporty and unmistakably Black.”
The Denim Tears x André Leon Talley Estate Fall/Winter 2026 collection releases across five separate drops throughout the season. Drop 1 launches on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 11am EST via Denim Tears and in-store at Africa Diaspora Goods located at 176 Spring St.
