Bowers & Wilkins Kicks Off New Series With 801 D4 and 805 D4 Signature Home Speakers
Retailing for $50,000 USD and $12,000 USD, respectively.
Bowers & Wilkins is adding to its lineup of speakers with the launch of the luxury 800 Series Signature. To kick off the series, the British audio brand has debuted two new home speakers, the 801 D4 Signature and 805 D4 Signature.
With the new speakers, Bowers & Wilkins draws inspiration from another piece of hardware in its archive, the Silver Signature loudspeaker, which was created in 1991 as a tribute to the brand’s founder John Bowers. They also build on the design of the existing 801 D4 and 805 D4 models but come upgraded for an even more elevated, sophisticated look.
The 801 D4 Signature takes on a curvy, modernistic design, while the 805 D4 Signature offers a more common standard, cylindrical shape. Both speakers are available in either a California Burl Gloss Wood Veneer or Midnight Blue Metallic, which Bowers & Wilkins says takes 24 hours and 18 hours, respectively, per speaker to paint.
Available on the Bowers & Wilkins website, the 801 D4 Signature is priced at $50,000 USD per pair, while the 805 D4 Signature retails for $12,000 USD per pair.
