ROA Steps Formally With Its New Loafer Silhouette
Made with vegetable-tanned Tuscan vachetta leather that will develop a natural patina over time.
Sartorial attire is the last quality that comes to mind when we mention the brand ROA Hiking, but that’s just what the footwear imprint has explored with its all-new loafer silhouette.
Arriving in either black or brown colorways, the loafer adopts luxurious touches beyond just a formal style. Tuscan vachetta leather is used across the upper, and it has been treated with a vegetable tanning technique that will develop a natural patina over the course of wearing the pair.
In true loafer form, the throat bears a strap that incorporates a penny slot — only here, it is shaped like ROA’s mountain logo, seen once more in the usual embroidered format on the lateral toe bumper. Likewise, another signature ROA attribute makes its typical appearance; the Vibram sole unit. Here, ROA opts for a black Vibram Megagrip sole across both colorways, kitting the pair out with a rubber toe cap and a toothed tread pattern for optimum traction on rough ground.
