Collaborations are pumping out at rapid speeds this season from the Salomon team as it has unloaded projects with the likes of Sandy Liang, Gramicci and BEAMS in recent memory. And now the outdoor-focused imprint is reuniting with COMME des GARÇONS to produce a duo of monochromatic SR811 colorways.
This isn’t the first occasion that these two parties have linked up on this silhouette before. Back in April of this year, both imprints dressed up the chunky platform silhouette with “Metallic Silver” and “Metallic Gold” arrangements. This latest initiative sees the bulky model outfitted with more understated executions as the first is styled with a “Triple Black” motif while the second is presented in “Triple White.” Uppers are constructed with smooth leather and feature tonal, debossed “Salomon” branding near the collars and glossy D-rings for the laces loop through. Co-branded hits are printed across the insoles of each shoe for extra flair.
