Hodinkee Releases Limited Edition anOrdain Model 3
Only 25 timepieces will be available.

Glasgow-based anOrdain is releasing a limited edition collection of 25 unique timepieces with Hodinkee. Together, the two brands have come together to introduce to the world, the first hand-engraved sunburst enamel dial in the form of the new anOrdain Model 3 case.
The Scottish watch brand is known for its intricately crafted enamel watches, all done in-house with its multidisciplinary and detail-oriented team of designers and artisans. Their masterful technique of covering its copper, silver and gold dials with ground enamel powder gives the watches an added touch of detail different than other brands. To achieve the striking colors of the dials, they are oven-fired at 800° Celsius several times over. anOrdain’s designs boast an impressive five-year waitlist for most of its new watch orders.
The upcoming highly-limited release with Hodinkee has been over a year in development with each dial taking approximately 100 hours to complete. Each features individual dial engravings meaning that no two dials are identical. Each of the colors is chosen by Hodinkee and is based on the palette of enamels best suited to the fine engraved texture. After each one is engraved, the silver dials are then enameled with a completely transparent shade of deep grey to highlight the engraved baseplate. The watches feature oversized hour markets in custom art-deco numerals. The case back features an engraving of New York City and is numbered one to 25. The anOrdain Model 3 is an automatic watch and has a power reserve of 42 hours.
Each of the 25 anOrdain Model 3 Limited Edition watches for Hodinkee is set to be sold exclusively at Hodinkee for $6,000 USD.
