As Jordan Brand continues to explore its catalog of classic silhouettes and find ways to update them for the golf course, the AJ6 has become an area focus for the sub label in 2023. It started with the 6 in one of the OG colorways, “White Infrared,” and continued with a custom take on “Bordeaux” complete with faux water droplets. Mirroring Michael Jordan‘s love for the game of golf, the brand has now revealed a third fairway-ready take on the shoe that originally released in 1991.

Featuring a combination of black, metallic silver and wolf grey, the color arrangement recalls the AJ6 Low “Chrome” from 2015 save for a few differences when it comes to the midsole. Whereas the basketball shoe referenced used black for its midsole, this golf-inspired take is treated with metallic silver. Accented with black, the midsole is planted atop an icey blue, translucent outsole reminiscent of “Wolf Grey” colorways. The upper, meanwhile, is crafted from a solid black nubuck and accented with metallic Jumpman logos on the tongues, insoles and heels, as well as reflective lace locks and heel tags.

Providing stability for the golf course, seven soft spikes are also placed strategically across the outsole along with a smaller traction pattern. No release information has come to light, but expect a retail price of $220 USD via Nike.

In other footwear news, New Balance has unveiled its 2023 “Grey Day” footwear and apparel capsule.
