Whether it be a scent or a photograph, there is a range of stimuli that evokes the memories of travel and its fond experiences. Now the New York City-based book publisher and lifestyle company Assouline is capitalizing on the former with the launch of its debut candle collection.

The new range of scented candles is inspired by the company’s Travel Series titles – encompassing a range of destinations. To develop the collection, Assouline enlisted perfumer Jérôme Epinette to craft the lineup of decadent scents. The lineup is comprised of six candles which are modeled after Mykonos, Marrakech, Tulum, Ibiza, Gstaad and the Moon.

The wax candles all appear in a ceramic beige-tinted carrier. Aside from the scents themselves, the box packaging was influenced by the series’ book covers – boasting a selection of vibrant hues and unique designs. To complement the candles, Assouline also designed an additional accessory featuring a brass lid.

Each candle retails for $80 USD and the brass lid for $30 USD. Take a look at the collection in the gallery above, which is available now online.

In other news, MAD Architects’ first South American project will be the tallest building in Ecuador’s capital.
