Air Jordan 2 "Wings" Honors Jordan Brand VP Howard "H" White
Set to be released in early June.
Jordan Brand continues to expand its classic high-top offerings, this time releasing a the Air Jordan 2 as a part of the Jordan Wings Program for the Summer 2023 season. The shoe is set to be released in the honor of Jordan Brand Vice President for Nike Inc. and founder of the national Nike youth movement, Believe To Achieve’s own Howard “H” White. In the most recent film AIR, White was portrayed by Chris Tucker, who was credited to for playing a huge role in bringing Michael Jordan to Nike.
The shoe comes dressed in a white, malachite and black color scheme. This pair of Jordan Brand high-tops is constructed in its typical white leather upper makeup, this time featuring side panels that are reminiscent of a pair of wings that are covered in feather print. Other notable details include Black laces as well as an inner lining and a midsole that features green contrasting accents. To tie it altogether, the shoe sits a top a translucent heel. The shoe also comes with an extra set of laces with the words “Power” and “Belief” printed on the tips and as a nod to White, an “H” is seen on the heels and insoles.
The Air Jordan 2 “Wings” land in select Jordan Brand retailers and online at Nike for $210 USD on June 10.
