PLAY COMME des GARÇONS is working with Converse once again this Spring/Summer 2023 for a new pair of Pro Leather sneakers.

First released in 1976 as the All-Star Professional Basketball Shoe, the silhouette quickly grew to dominate the market thanks to its lightweight build, durability, and an early endorsement from Julius “Dr. J” Erving. PLAY COMME des GARÇONS delivers an all-canvas adaptation of the classic leather shoes with monochrome Star Chevron logo branding across the lateral and medial sides. For the first time in the duo’s decade-long partnership, the PLAY heart logo is placed on the toe, with the upper half seen peeking out. Rounding out the look are co-branded insoles and classic rubber sole units.

Priced at ¥20,900 JPY ($153 USD), the PLAY COMME des GARÇONS x Converse” Pro Leather will be available at PLAY COMME des GARÇONS stores and Dover Street Market Ginza from May 5.

In other news, Nike Air Force 1 Low “NAI-KE” surfaces in green weaves.
