Danish consumer electronics company Bang & Olufsen has launched its newest offering, the Beosound A5. Consisting of a two-way setup with four drivers, it runs the most powerful woofer in B&O’s current lineup.

Highlights include a Qi wireless phone charger mounted on the top of the speaker, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity with Beolink Multiroom functionality, and RoomSense that adapts playback based on your space. Delivering a product in which portable and home audio meet, the speaker has an IP65 water and dustproof rating with over 12 hours of playtime.

Its modular design allows it to be easily serviced and repaired to extend its lifetime if needed with the option to exchange front covers. The hardware is paired with B&O’s Mozart platform which provides the most up-to-date features across audio, connectivity, and software design.

Two colorways are available including natural aluminum with a woven paper fiber front and light oak handle as well as a black anthracite aluminum version with a Danish-made dark oak speaker cover and handle.

The B&O Beosound A5 is now available globally via the brand’s retail locations.
