More than a year after DJI‘s flagship Mavic 3 was launched, the leading drone company now readies a refreshed “Pro” version. Reminiscent of Apple’s strategy with the iPhone, DJI most notably adds an additional camera to the setup.

Running with a triple camera system for the first time, the Mavic 3 Pro is as versatile as ever. A Hasselblad camera captures 12-bit RAW photos with a native dynamic range of up to 12.8 stops while videographers have up to 5.1K at 50 fps and 10-bit D-Log at their disposal. The Hasselblad is joined by an upgraded 166mm tele camera and an all-new 70mm f/2.8 medium tele camera.

The drone has up to 46 minutes of flight time and a 15 km max transmission range with omnidirectional obstacle sensing. Highlight features include an auto-lock FocusTrack function and Advanced RTH system which allows the drone to automatically chart a path back to the pilot.

The Mavic Pro 3 is now available at DJI’s website and select stores and is set to start shipping in May. A number of different sets are available starting at $2,199 USD. The most advanced Mavic 3 Pro Cine with the full premium combo comes is priced at $4,799 USD. Learn more about the state-of-the-art drone in the trailer above.
