Revisiting the principles of minimalism, URWERK has unveiled the latest iteration of its UR-100V model, entitled Magic T. Its iconic name derives from its alluring titanium case in an intense metallic gray hue, which is capable of changing “mood and appearance over time,” as noted by the brand’s artistic director and co-founder, Martin Frei.

Speaking on the new model’s design, Master watchmaker and co-founder, Felix Baumgartner mentions in an official press release that a particular emphasis was put on improving the legibility of the piece, all the while “adding complexity to the dial.” As a result, the Magic T arrives an intricately put-together UFO case and is integrated with two long recesses on the sides of its satellite carrier.

With a running time of 48 hours, the watch is powered by the UR 12.02 self-winding movement, and governed by a Windfänger airscrew. The calibre is held in place with 40 jewels while beating at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour. As for function, this striking time-teller is equipped with satellite hours and minutes, as well as indicators for orbital distance and rotational distance at the Equator in 20 minutes. To match its sanded and shot-blasted titanium case, the watch is accompanied by an integrated titanium link bracelet in corresponding finishes.

URWERK’s UR-100V Magic T limited-edition will soon release with a retail price of 58,000 CHF (approximately $65,056 USD). For more information, head over to the brand’s official website.

Elsewhere in watches, Luminox premieres a new case size for its Pacific Diver Ripple collection.
