Gearing up to deliver his second EP album, BIG BANG member Taeyang dropped a new collaborative single with Lisa of BLACKPINK titled, “Shoong!”
The Thai singer of the YG Entertainment K-Pop supergroup is slated to be featured on the EP Down to Earth with this track. “Shoong!” takes notes from the hip-hop genre, while also featuring an R&B trap beat. The music video for “Shoong!” sees Taeyang and Lisa performing an intricate choreography for the music video.
Set in a futurist time period, dictated by the pink and orange neon lights, the video goes back and forth between the duo as they dance in a group before dancing together. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Taeyang spoke of his first impression with Lisa, “One special thing is that when Lisa first came to YG, literally when she first came to Korea, I was there working on music and ended up watching her audition.” He added, “At that time, she was a baby, a young kid who just came from Thailand. I told our CEO at the time, ‘I think she will do well no matter what.’Watching her become so successful makes me proud.”
