Update: Nike has released official images of the Yuto Horigome x Nike SB Dunk Low which reveals detailed shots of the pair’s exterior and a closer look at its patterned insoles. The skateboarder’s collaboration is slated to release on August 16 for $130 USD.
Update: Following an initial look at the much-anticipated pair, the team over at YankeeKicks has provided an on-foot breakdown of the Yuto Horigome x Nike SB Dunk Low. Its release details remain unknown, however, it’s expected to land on shelves in the coming months via Nike and select retailers. Original Story: High touted as one of the most elite international skateboarding talents, Yuto Horigome is being tapped by Nike and its Nike SB team to work on his own footwear collaboration. The 2021 Tokyo Olympics gold medalist has lent his touch to the Nike SB Dunk Low and early images of the pair have now surfaced onto our radar.
For this project, Horigome summons of a collection of neutral tones to outfit his kicks. Toe boxes, tongues and quarter panels are left colorless exteriors and come neighbored by supply suede overlays and smooth leather Swooshes that are drowned in a muted gray. The Japanese skater’s moniker replaces the usual shoe silhouette’s name under the tongue’s Nike SB branding while a cross-feather insignia is stamped to the lateral heels. A subtle touch of dusty pink arrives on the heightened parts of the heel while brown accents through the collars. Down below, the midsoles are designed with a clean white finish while the bottoms are done up with an all-brown paint job.
There’s no word on when these will be officially launching to the public, but you can likely expect more information to pop up in the coming months.
