JINS’ New Classic Airframe Bold Channels an Extra-Chunky Look

With JINS’ unveiling of the Classic Airframe Bold series, the brand demonstrates its promise and ongoing mission to make lightweight, innovative, and functional eyewear attainable for all.
Nicknamed “Puffy,” the model is highly identifiable with its extra-thick acetate frame that boasts a cartoon-like vibe. Described as “bold frames that allow you to express your personality,” the new line is also designed to tick all the boxes for comfort, function, and statement wear.
Uniquely constructed to implement plate springs inside the temples, the Classic Airframe Bold not only helps to prevent slippage, it also comes with added comfort. Despite its chunky appearance, the frames are crafted from ultra-lightweight resin to minimize clunkiness. As the cherry on top of its quirky aesthetics, the frames are all packaged in a nostalgic-looking “brown bag,” reminiscent of lunch paper bags.
Priced at $140 USD each, the Classic Airframe Bold series are offered in three different shapes in a selection of black, matte black, and tortoise colorways. All are currently available via JINS’ official website with customizable lens options.
